The Washington Post Lost Trust
The Post’s readership continues to drop, so giving it the one-time cash infusions suggested here is illogical. One needs to fix the root problem. What is the root problem? Trust. Much of the public no longer trusts the Post as it supported most of the now debunked hoaxes: the Fine People hoax (Charlottesville), Russia Collusion hoax, Drinking Bleach hoax, the Losers and Suckers hoax, among others, including Covid’s origin (it was the Wuhan lab, not the wet market). Thus, the Post is seen by many as a primary propaganda source. We need truthful reporting, otherwise we cannot solve our most intransigent problems. While the Post’s newsroom claims to support all kinds of diversity, it does not include viewpoint diversity.

Online STR Companies Are to Blame
The fundamental problem is actually the booking platform incentivizing guest misconduct and funneling money away from our community to corporate shareholders and overseas staff who don’t understand or care about local laws or local community.
