Make a Big Difference
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County is seeking five adult male mentors for five brothers ages 7 to 14. These boys have had a childhood of abuse, neglect and disappointment, and need a positive adult role model in their life. The mentoring can be a group activity or one-on-one, but each boy needs to be officially paired with a mentor who can commit to one hour a week. The organization cannot pair one boy until mentors are found for each of the five. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County is brand new to the Truckee and Kings Beach region, and there are many ways to get involved, from becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister, joining the Board of Directors or donating to the agency to help sustain and grow this positive mentoring program for youth in our community. bigsofnc.org, peggy@bigsofnc.org, 530-587-7717.
