North Tahoe Plein Air at North Tahoe Arts
The walls at North Tahoe Arts are covered with paintings celebrating the beauty of North Lake Tahoe. From Emerald Bay to Sand Harbor, 37 plein air artists painted for three days during the North Tahoe Plein Air event, and created images of spots familiar to us all. Prize winners are: Andrew Bolam, Best of Show; Carole Gray-Weihman, 1st Honorable Mention; Bonita Paulis, 2nd Honorable Mention; Randall Stauss, Environmental Award; Richard Lindenberg, Artists’ Choice Award and Andy Skaff, People’s Choice Award. Prizes were supplied by The Village at Northstar and Sennelier Paints. North Tahoe Plein Air is a fundraiser for North Tahoe Arts, the Truckee-Donner Land Trust and the Community Fund of North Lake Tahoe. Wire Sculpted Jewelry & Accessories

Learn how to create stylish pendants, brooches and other beautiful accessories using floral wire. Students will begin by beading the wire, then wrapping it to build sculptural pieces. Pumpkin Patch
Look out Charlie Brown, its time for the 30th annual Pumpkin Patch at Incline Village High School, Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick up your soon-to-be-carved Jack o’ Lantern, play games, jump in the bounce house, watch out for clowns, pick up some items at the bake sale and participate in the silent auction. Halloween in Squaw
Throughout the Village at Squaw Valley between  October 24 and 31, kids and adults alike will have much to do in the name of Halloween. Guess the weight of the giant pumpkin, take part in the scavenger hunt, trick-or-treat safely through the village restaurants and shops, or take part in a costume party.
