Arquils Wines Farewell Gathering

After more than a decade producing distinctive vineyard-driven wines in California’s Sierra Foothills, Arquils Wines founder Carlos Caruncho will host a Farewell Gathering on Saturday, May 23 in Nevada City, marking the close of his California chapter before relocating to the United Kingdom this summer.

Carlos has become a widely respected figure within California’s independent wine movement—not only for the elegance and restraint of his own wines, but for his mentorship of a younger generation of winemakers and his influence within the broader wine community. Arquils wines appear on some of California’s most exciting restaurant wine lists, including Michelin-starred destinations, and have earned favorable reviews from internationally respected critics such as Jancis Robinson MW.

This gathering offers the public a rare opportunity to taste and acquire limited Arquils cellar releases directly from the source before much of the remaining cellar relocates overseas.

$10 entry fee, payable at the gate, includes a guided tasting of Arquils wines, and opportunities to buy wine by the glass, bottle and case.
