I don’t know anything about the hearty Truckee High School grads who decided that getting a few early turns in on the morning of their graduation on June 10 was a good idea, but it must’ve been an extraordinary prelude to their commencement. It was a true privilege to witness them loading early chairs at Alpine Meadows in their red caps and gowns, seen here at the top of Summit chair. Everyone around them was aglow remembering the significance of that day in each of their own lives. Whoever you are, grads, we thank you for sharing the kick-off of your big day with us. You’re certainly off to a great start in the work–life balance category! Happy trails in all your future endeavors and please come back for a day at the hill when you’re back in town on breaks. Hopefully, you’ll all consider the mountains your true home, forever. Congrats to the class of ’23 … particularly this bunch 🙂 Photo by Forrest McMullen
