Renee Koijane
A primarily self-taught artist, RENEE KOIJANE has been exploring the use of oils in her art on and off since the late ’90s. She gained some foundational skills through various classes at the San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State, and Chicago’s Lillstreet Art Center. Her current body of work embraces color, simplicity of form and thought, with the transcendentalists, historic figures, and nature as her muses. Born and raised in a small town in upstate New York, Koijane moved to California after high school to attend UC Santa Barbara and is now deeply rooted in Lake Tahoe, where she is raising her boys with her wonderfully supportive husband.
