This was maybe a commission for a couple at The Grid in Kings Beach. Samurai forgot who they were and what animals they asked for. So, he painted birds. Birds are easy to paint over.
He uses whatever’s nearby. Acrylic. Spray paint. Markers. Pencils. Pens. He’s rinsed brushes in wine and cocktails. Sometimes he drinks the rinse cup. Sometimes he doesn’t notice.
He started painting right after waking up from a coma. No warmup, just straight into it. Started raising money for Alzheimer’s right away. So far, he’s made $20 doing commissions.
His art is supposed to make people think. Or double-take. Or ask if it’s supposed to look like that. Or if life is really what we think it is. Or if we want to buy a boat.
He’s also selling a motorcycle and a boat.
