What’s Ripe Now: Butter, red oak leaf, and romaine lettuces, varieties of bok choy, mizuna — a tender, spicy Asian green — kale, and chard. Vibrant roots include radishes, carrots, and beets, and spring-specific veggies like sugar snap peas, spring onions, and spring garlic.
What’s Sprouting Next: We’re very proud to be the first farm in the area with spring tomatoes, carefully seeded the first of the year when most of the farm is sleepily growing winter produce. Come June and July, we’ll have potatoes, summer squash, peppers, and eggplants.
Favorite Bloom: The regal iris has been especially prolific around the farm, along with the California golden poppy and the blooming jasmine spiraling around the old persimmon tree.
