Martis Valley West, a project by Mountainside Partners, proposes 760 residential units and a conservation easement that would be the last piece of al conservation puzzle in Martis Valley if approved. However, environmental groups, local citizens, and the Town of Truckee caution that while conservation for Martis Valley is important, the project may not benefit the Truckee/Tahoe region as a whole.

6,376 acres of the East Parcel will be preserved as open space in perpetuity
