Winter Creek Homes Nearly Sold Out

Out of the 147 homes in the Winter Creek development, opened in 2004, all but three have been sold, with seven currently in escrow. This indicates a very active and brisk real estate market, according to Ann Nguyen, an exclusive realtor for Winter Creek with Dickson Realty. The three remaining homes have not been built at this point, and Nguyen says that many other lots were sold prior to the houses being built, and therefore she expects the rest to be sold very soon. Most of the homes were in the mid-$500,000 range with the remaining three in the mid-$600,000s. The development comprises 40 acres, including 12.7 acres that were donated to the Truckee Donner Land Trust by developers GLA Morris to be permanent open space. CalNeva Opening Remains Unknown

The renovation of CalNeva Resort continues to be stalled with an unknown status and opening date. The new owners of the casino, Bay Area-based Criswell Radovan, bought it in 2013, and closed for renovations that fall. The original slated opening date was Dec. 12, 2014, Frank Sinatra’s 99th. Sinatra was a former part-owner of the CalNeva, and performed there with the famed Rat Pack. A second opening date was scheduled for Sinatra’s century mark one year later. The latest projected opening date, May 26 of this year, also came and went, with the closed sign still hanging. Tahoe Quarterly obtained documents for a story that showed the developers had stopped making payments to a Texas bank that held a property note attached to the casino. Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, Reveals Plans for New Lakefront Project

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, located mid-mountain at Northstar California Resort, has revealed plans for the construction of a new lakefront project, Lake Club, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. Located in Tahoe Vista, the club will be for the exclusive use of the resort’s guests. The Lake Club will feature a contemporary building with a 650 square foot indoor gathering area and bar, a 600 square foot ground-floor dining terrace, a 950 square foot upper-level dining deck, a 2,000 square foot expansive lawn area with panoramic views of the lake, and more. Tahoe Home Makes HGTV’s House Hunt

An East Shore home has found itself on HGTV’s Ultimate House Hunt. The Glenbrook estate, listed by Chase International, is one of only eight properties in the world to be selected for the waterfront category. The contest — where viewers vote online — took place through July 8. The two-story home has wrap-around balconies, a 30-foot pier, two deeded buoys and a spacious deck. It is listed at $10,525,000.
