CUPID WAS HERE, May 17, 4:30 p.m., Forest Glen Road, Squaw Valley: An unknown suspect vandalized someone’s front door and vehicle on Valentine’s Day. It is unknown if the graffiti was lots of hearts or not.
STOP & SHOP, May 18, 1:20 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Police watched a woman driving to the store. When they made contact with the woman it was determined that she was driving on a suspended license and had an outstanding warrant. The suspect consented to a vehicle search during which heroin was discovered. The woman was arrested.
CASH TO DUST, May 19, 7 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: A person gave the suspect $1500 in cash who in turn gave the person back a blank check and said to fill it out and deposit it. The check never cleared.
SWITCHING STORIES, May 20, 6:15 p.m., Burton Creek Drive, Tahoe City: A woman called 911 to report a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier in the day. When deputies arrived on the scene the woman changed her story several times and the officers determined she had been driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for a suspected DUI.
A QUICK SOAK, May 21, 10 a.m., Roundridge Road, Tahoe City: An unknown suspect broke down someone’s fence and trespassed onto the property. The suspect then used the hot tub on the property before leaving.
CHAIRLIFT DRAMA, May 21, 3 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Village: A man became very intoxicated on the top of Squaw Valley, so much so that a resort employee had to escort him down the Funitel to the Village. The drunk man was belligerent and verbally abusive on the nine-minute ride. When security arrived at the base, the man punched one of them in the face. The suspect was taken into custody for public drunkenness and battery.
DRUNK IN PUBLIC, May 22, 2:45 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: A woman was taken into custody for public intoxication.
FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION, May 22, 4:30 p.m., Highway 267, Kings Beach: After displaying signs of public intoxication, a man was taken into protective custody.
RUN LIKE THE WIND, May 24, 8:30 p.m., Nightingale Road, Tahoe City: An unknown suspect stole a package containing running shoes from a residence sometime in April.
CLOSED, May 25, North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Sometime overnight an unknown suspect broke the window of a business.
DRUNK, May 26, 1:45 p.m., West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A man was arrested for public intoxication.
UTILITES SCAM, May 26, 6:15 p.m., 100 Mackinaw Road, Tahoe City: Someone called the office manager of a business and under the pretense of working for a utilities company, and claimed the business owed $801 in past due charges. The office manager was convinced to wire the “overdue payments.” After contacting the power company later it was determined the caller was a fake and the business did not owe anything.
REPEAT OFFENDER, May 27, 1:20 a.m., Grove Street, Tahoe City: Same female from five days ago was again arrested due to her high level of intoxication.
REPUBLICAN ON THE LOOSE, May 28, 9:15 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: A report of a threat was called in after a woman was unhappy with the service at a lodging establishment. The disgruntled customer threatened an employee of the establishment by saying, “I am a gun-wielding Republican and I will shoot you if you don’t call the cops.“
DRINK & RUN, May 30, North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Four unknown suspects left the bar without paying their tab of $100.
HIGH INTOXICATION LEVEL, May 31, 2:15 a.m., Rainbow Road, Kings Beach: A man was taken into protective custody due to his high level of intoxication.
ALL GEARED UP, May 31, 12 p.m., West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Unknown suspects broke into a residence and stole multiple bicycles and watersports equipment.
YOUR DENTIST WOULD BE PROUD, May 31, 3:30 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A man was arrested for stealing two electronic toothbrushes from a business.

FATAL CRASH, July 12, 5:20 a.m., Truckee: Two bicyclists crashed into each other, and one biker sustained life threating injuries, ultimately resulting in death.
STOPPED ON THE TRACKS, July 14, 7:17 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A vehicle was stopped for driving on the Railroad tracks. The driver was arrested for a felony DUI.
AFTER THE BAR, July 14, 10:41 p.m., Donner Pass Road: After leaving a local bar, a suspect was determined to be drunk in public and arrested.
NO HELP WANTED, July 15, 3:38 a.m., Truckee: Someone was assaulted by unknown suspects. The victim declined prosecution, didn’t want law enforcement involved, and also refused medical aid from the Truckee Fire Department.
DUI TOWN, July 15, 8:50 p.m., Truckee: A driver pulled over for vehicle code violations was determined to be driving under the influence and arrested.
MACHETE RETALIATION, July 15, 9:32 p.m., Glen Road: A victim reported he had been chased with a machete in retaliation for a prior dispute over marijuana. The victim did not wish to prosecute.
VEHICLE VIOLATIONS, July 16, 2:04 a.m., Truckee: A vehicle was stopped for vehicle code violation, then the driver was arrested for DUI.
PLAN ALMOST WORKED, July 16, 8:58 a.m., Deerfield Drive: A suspect went inside a business, locked and barricaded the back door and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect left the area without the money and was later located and arrested for attempted robbery and false imprisonment.
OH DEER!, July 16, 7:52 p.m., Truckee: Police were dispatched because of an injured deer.
AGGRESSIVE, July 16, 8:27 p.m., Deerfield Drive: A subject gave an officer a false name and fled. The suspect then threatened and battered multiple officers, and was booked for various crimes and a parole violation.
CAMPGROUND CLOSED, July 16, 8:19 p.m., Truckee: Truckee Police contacted several subjects who appeared to be camping inside a public transit bus shelter. Two of the tree subjects were then arrested for outstanding warrants.
NOT A HAPPY FAMILY, July 16, 10:37 p.m., Old Highway Drive: Officers responded to a residence for a report of an intoxicated adult passed out and unable to care for his two small children who were also home. The subject was cited and released for child endangerment and the children were turned over to their mother.
DON’T LEAVE NOW, July 17, 12 a.m., Donner Pass Road: An intoxicated driver was arrested after police saw him attempting to leave a parking lot in a vehicle.
DEATH, July 17, 2:06 a.m., Alder Creek Road: Someone was not feeling well after coming up to Truckee. The person then died from medical issues, with no signs of unnatural causes.
HEATING UP, July 15, 8:50 p.m., Schussing Way: An informational report was taken for a heated verbal argument between a dating couple.
LOUD MUSIC, July 17, 9:47 p.m., Truckee: Police were dispatched to find a subject who was asleep in his car with the stereo blaring.
OH DEER! II, July 18, 10:52 a.m., Truckee: A collision occurred between a vehicle and a deer.
MYSTERY ASSAULT, July 19, 6:28 p.m., Auburn: Truckee police responded to the victim of an assault. The victim was uncooperative and would not divulge any information other than it occurred at a vista point near Auburn.
TEXTING GONE BAD, July 20, 1 p.m., Hillside Drive: A juvenile and unknown individual exchanged threatening text messages.
BIKER’S RIGHT OF WAY, July 21, 4:06 p.m., Truckee: Informational report taken for a police bicycle that fell into a vehicle.
BOUNCER DISPUTE, July 21, 1:06 p.m., Donner Pass Road: An altercation between a bouncer and a customer took place. Both parties declined prosecution.
FLASHER, July 23, 8:04 a.m., Truckee: A woman was walking by a man who exposed himself to her.
PRANKSTER, July 23, 8:45 p.m., Truckee: While patrolling, an officer spotted a woman screaming at cars and making lunging motions as if she were going to jump into traffic.
DUI COUNTY, July 24, 3:40 a.m., Donner Pass Road: A vehicle was stopped for a code violation and the driver was arrested for DUI.
WATERSPORTS GONE WRONG, July 24, 11:51 a.m., South Shore Drive: A wake surfer was injured after he became entangled in the tow line of a boat. He was treated by the Town of Truckee Fire EMS and refused transport to the hospital for further care.
DRUGS, July 25, 6:57 p.m., Thomas Drive: A subject was reported to be under the influence of suspected methamphetamine.
GONE FISHING, July 25, 11:50 p.m., Skislope Way: Dependent adult went missing for approximately 30 minutes and was later located by a TPD Officer.
