SUSPICIOUS SUSPECT, Jan. 17, 2 p.m., Boat Ramp, Kings Beach: Male was reported to be walking around carrying a crow bar. He was found to have a warrant and was arrested.
RESTRAINED, Jan. 17, 3 p.m., Mckinney Creek, Tahoma: Report taken for a violation of restraining order.
SKIS GONE, Jan. 17, 3:30 p.m., West Lake Boulevard, Homewood: Unknown suspect stole skis from a ski resort.
WHO STARTED IT, Jan. 17, 11:20 p.m.., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: Report taken for battery between a male and a female. Due to conflicting stories an aggressor could not be determined and no arrest was made.
STOLEN, Jan. 18, 8 a.m., River Road, Olympic Valley: Unknown suspect broke into a residence and stole over $6000 in ski gear and household items, including a snow blower.
BOBCAT ON THE LOOSE, Jan. 19, 2 a.m., The Drive, Tahoe City: Victim accidentally hit a vehicle with his bobcat. Then, an unknown suspect (not related to vehicle) pulled the victim out of the Bobcat and pushed him around causing injuries. The victim does not wish to prosecute.
AVALANCHE A COMIN’, Jan. 21, 8 a.m., Alpine Meadows Subdivision: California Office of Emergency Services requested assistance in notifying homeowners of high avalanche danger in the area. PCSO along with Tahoe Nordic Search & Rescue went door to door for approximately four hours warning residents.
STILL RUNNING, Jan. 23, 11 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Pursuant to finding a male subject passed out in his running vehicle. Suspect was turned over to CHP for DUI.
BORROWED, Jan. 23, 11:30 a.m., Alpine Way, Tahoe City: Male suspect “borrowed” a woman’s snowblower without her permissions and never returned it.
SNOW BIKE, Jan. 25., 11 p.m., Prosser Lake area, Truckee: A report was taken for Agency assist with Nevada County for a search and rescue. A male subject got his snow bike stuck in a drainage and couldn’t get himself out.
STOLEN STUFF, Jan. 27, 10:30 p.m., Martis Landing, Truckee: A male subject stole $1600 worth of tools and snowboard gear from victim’s unlocked vehicle. The suspect was arrested later that day in Reno on an outstanding warrant and was found to be in possession of the stolen property.
SNOW BANK, Jan. 27, 1:15 p.m., Rubicon Street, Tahoma: Pursuant to several reports of a subject down in the roadway, a female was located sitting in a snow bank with all her belongings strewn about. She was arrested for public intoxication.
GRAFFITI, Jan. 28, 10:15 a.m., Polaris Road, Tahoe City: Sometime overnight and unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on the school bus barn.
YOUR PASS IS NO GOOD, Jan. 28, 4:30 p.m., Incline Village: An unknown suspect stole a victim’s ski pass from his residence in Incline and attempted to use it at Northstar.
TRUCK BED ROBBER, Jan. 30, 12:50 p.m., Sacramento Avenue, Homewood: Unknown suspect stole victim’s skis from the back of his truck bed. Two other pairs of skis were left untouched. $1200 loss.
BRUISED, Jan. 31, 6 p.m., Golden Avenue, Kings Beach: Victim reported her boyfriend of three weeks pushed her into a crib, causing bruised ribs. No prosecution desired.
WHAT HIGH SCHOOL?, Feb. 1, 10:15 a.m., Chalet Road, Tahoe City: Unknown suspect stole victim’s class ring from his bedroom on New Year’s Eve.
SHOT AND KILLED, Feb. 3, 1:40 a.m., Alpine Meadows Road, Tahoe City: A driver was pulled over at a ‘stop and hold’ order from CHP. The driver was involved in a pursuit earlier in the evening. After another pursuit with PCSO and two spike strips were deployed, suspect exited his vehicle with a hostage at gunpoint. Suspect was eventually shot and killed. The hostage and all Law Enforcement personnel were harmed.
SISTER SISTER, Feb. 3, Brook Avenue, Kings Beach: Female reported her sister used her identity during a traffic stop in Reno resulting in a citation. The victim wishes to prosecute.
HUTTIN’, Feb. 6, 12 p.m., Peter Grubb Hut, Truckee: Report taken for an agency assist with Nevada County for a search and rescue. No one was injured.
LOST AND FOUND, Feb. 11, 3 p.m., Northstar: Report taken for a search and rescue of a lost snowboarder. Subject was located unharmed.
CAN I GIVE YOU AN IOU, Feb. 11, 10:30 p.m., Ritz Carlton, Truckee: An unknown suspect stole victim’s wallet while she was lunching.
ASSAULT, Feb. 13, 12:45 p.m., Schaffer Mill Road, Truckee: A report and arrest made for domestic violence incident. Male subject assaulted his pregnant girlfriend during an argument.
DON’T DROP IT, Feb. 13, 10:30 p.m., Northstar, Truckee: Victim dropped his GoPro camera off the chairlift. The camera was gone when the victim went back to the location.
FRAUD GONE VIRAL, Feb. 14, 12:15 p.m., Elizabeth Street, Homewood: Victim received a virus notification on her computer stating to call a 1-800 number to have it removed. Victim paid $168 but the suspect tried to get her to pay several hundred more dollars. The victim became suspicious and filed a report.
BAD KARMA, Feb. 16, 3 p.m., Bristol Circle, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect took victim’s handicap placard from her unlocked vehicle.
LOCK YOU CAR, Feb. 17, 6 p.m., Canterbury Road, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect stole $700 in personal items from victim’s unlocked car.
OUT OF THE LINES, Feb. 17, 11:30 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Subject was contacted due to his poor parking job and found to have an outstanding warrant. Suspect was arrested without incident.
OUT OF BOUNDS, Feb. 18, 1 p.m., Alpine Meadows: Male snowboarder became lost while riding at Alpine Meadows. A Search and Rescue team was initiated and the Tahoe Nordic search and Rescue located him near Whiskey Creek unharmed.
WHAT’S YOUR MOTIVE, Feb. 18, 10:30 p.m., Coon Street, Kings Beach: Known male suspect attacked the victims with two other unknown males. No motive is know for the attack.
COUPLES, Feb. 20, 2:15 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Report taken for domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. Subjects both pushed each other, no injuries occurred and no prosecution desired.
SIBLING RIVALRY, Feb. 20, 10:15 p.m., Brook Street, Kings Beach: Report taken for two sisters engaging in a physical fight. The suspect violated a restraining order by showing up at victim’s house. A citizen’s arrest for was signed by the victim.
SUSPUCIOUS ACTIVITY, Feb. 23, 9 a.m., Highlands View Drive, Truckee: Incident report taken for documentation. A female has been acting suspicious around her since November. Recently the suspect attempted to enter victim’s apartment without her permission.
LOVE WITHOUT RECIPROCATION, Feb. 23, 12 p.m., Interlaken Road, Homewood: A male suspect sent victim several emails professing his love and sexual intentions towards her. Suspect also sent emails to the victims friends. A restraining order has been issues.
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN?, Feb. 23, 6 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: Pursuant to a road rage incident, a male suspect punched the victim in the face causing a fractured orbital wall and stiches. The suspect was driving a newer gold Jeep Grand Cherokee, partial CA license plate #7GPY. Contact the Sheriff’s office if you were a witness or have any information regarding the suspect in this case.
SCREW YOU, Feb. 24, 12:15 p.m., Ritz Carlton, Truckee: Report taken for threats. Male subject threatened to stab victim in the neck with a screwdriver. The suspect was a customer in a retail shop and threatened an employee for no apparent reason.
BRAP, BRAP, Feb. 25, 9 a.m., Blackwood Canyon: A report was taken for a search and rescue of three snowmobilers who got stuck near the PCT at Barker Pass. All subjects were located by Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue and were safe.
HOSTEL GUEST, Feb. 25, 12:15 a.m., North lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: A male suspect took a laptop off the table of the Hostel and attempted to leave with it. Hostel guest blocked the exit and eventually the suspect fled without the computer. Suspect was later located and arrested for attempted robbery.
RENT TO STEAL, Feb. 26, 11:45 a.m., Northstar: A man attempted to rent a $900 pair of ski boots with cash but policy state that you must have a valid cred card to rent. The boots were discovered missing two days later, and the rental shop employee suspect the male renter from earlier.
SUICIDE BY COP, Feb. 27, 2 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: Deputies responded toa report of a subject with a gun. Upon arrival the suspect was non-compliant and wouldn’t follow orders. The suspect was eventually taken into custody after a taser was deployed. It was later determined that the suspect never had a weapon and had planned on suicide by cop.
