DID NOT GO FAR, Dec. 16, 3:45 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: An unknown suspect stole victim’s unlocked bicycle and left it outside a business.
NO LIGHT, Dec. 16, 8 p.m., Star Harbor, Tahoe City: A man was pulled over whil driving at night without his headlights on. The suspect had been drinking and was turned over to CHP for a suspected DUI.
FAMILY QUARRELS, Dec. 17, Cedar Crest, Tahoe City: A female reported that her adult son stole personal items from her bedroom. When the mother confronted her son he threw several things across the room and broke them. The suspect then pushed the victim and kicked in the door. The male was arrested and has sever charges pending.
GETTING READY FOR SUMMER, Dec. 18, 10 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Unknown suspect attempted to steal two locked paddleboards from a business. The suspects were unsuccessful but caused $100 damage to one of the boards.
ONLINE DATING SCAM, Dec. 19, 12 p.m., Silver Pine Road, Carnelian Bay: A victim joined a online dating group, met a female and started an online relationship. The female suspect asked the victim to send her $200 to maintain the dating membership. The suspect then sent the victim a check for $2920 and asked her to cash it and send the money back via money order. The victim became suspicious and turned the check over to the Sherriff’s office.
FAKE DEBT, Dec. 19, 3 p.m., River Road, Olympic Valley: An unknown suspect posed as a debt collector and tricked victim into sending $340 to pay off a non-existent debt.
ENTERED, Dec. 20, 9 a.m., River Road, Olympic Valley: Sometimes overnight unknown suspects forcibly entered two residences next to each other. Both are under constructions. Nothing was taken but there was damage to the doors.
APRES GONE WRONG, Dec. 22, 3:30 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: A male subject was contacted by Security due to his level of intoxication. He swung his snowboard around in a defensive manner and kicked the Security officer. The suspect was arrested for public drunkenness, but security did not desire prosecution for the battery.
WARRANT, Dec. 22, 9:15 p.m., National Road, Tahoe Vista: A male subject was arrested on a Placer County warrant.
WHERE AM I?, Dec. 22, 10:30 p.m., West River Street, Truckee: A female was found so intoxicated she thought she was in Grass Valley. She was arrested for public intoxication.
SERIAL ROBBERY, Dec. 23, 2:15 a.m., Squaw Creek Road, Olympic Valley: A victim called to report that an unknown suspect has been entering her locked condos for the past two years and stealing items of choice.
SANTA WOULD BE UPSET, Dec. 23, 10 a.m., Beach Street, Tahoe Vista: Sometime overnight an unknown suspect stole $40 of Christmas lights from victim’s doorstep.
CLOTHING THIEF, Dec. 23, 10 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Unknown male tried on three items of clothing and then walked out with them on and did not pay.
STORM NECESSITY, Dec. 26, 1:15 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Carnelian Bay: An unknown suspect broke into victim’s locked shed and stole multiple power tools including a snow blower. Total loss was $3500.
FAMILY MATTERS, Dec. 26, 9:15 p.m., Toyon Road, Tahoe Vista: Pursuant toa family disturbance, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication and violation of probation.
STORM NECESSITY II, Dec. 27, 4:50 p.m., Carnelian Circle, Carnelian Bay: An unknown suspect stole victim’s snow blower sometime since Christmas Day.
RENTAL SCAM, Dec. 28, 8:30 a.m., Secline Street, Kings Beach: Victim sent $1525 for a vacation rental through Craigslist which turned out to be a scam.
TOOL ROBBERY, Dec. 30, 8:45 a.m., Regency Way, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect stole $300 in tools from the bed of victim’s truck.
RENTAL SCAM II, Dec. 31, 10 a.m., Tahoe Woods Boulevard, Tahoe City: Victim sent an unknown suspect $1000 for a deposit on a vacation rental which didn’t exist. The homeowner never advertised the house for rent on Craigslist.
SCAMMED!, Dec. 31, 4 p.m., Cove Street, Kings Beach: A victim transferred $1800 to an unknown suspect’s bank account as a payment for a monthly rental she found on Craigslist. Victim also purchased $300 in itunes gifts cards and supplied the access code to the suspect.
CHILLY WILLY, Jan. 1, 1:15 a.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: A male subject was located passed out in a sub-zero temps. Subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.
SLEEPING STANDING UP, Jan. 1, 2 a.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: A male subject was found sleeping in a standing position, leaning against a vehicle. The subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication. No charges filed.
FINDERS KEEPERS, Jan. 1, 2:30 a.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: A scuffle ensued after a male subject showed up at his RV to find an unwanted suspect squatting. The intoxicated suspect refused to leave, so the victim shoved him out of the RV and the suspect incurred lacerations to his forehead from falling on to ice. No prosecution desired on either end.
RACIST UBER RIDERS, Jan. 1, 3:15 a.m., Coon Street, Kings Beach: An Uber driver picked up three subjects who then started yelling racial remarks at him and hit his car with a pole. Incident report was taken but victim did not wish to prosecute.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, Jan. 1, 6 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: Female slapped her boyfriend in the face and pointed a knife at him. She was arrested for domestic battery and brandishing a weapon.
SCHNAPPS ROBBER, Jan. 2, 11:30 a.m., Northstar, Truckee: An unknown suspect stole five pairs of skis, ski boots, and peppermint schnapps from victim’s locked camper shell on this truck. Loss was estimated to be $5300, including the schnapps.
RENTAL SCAM TURNS INTO GOOD DEED, Jan. 2, 11:55 Polaris Road, Tahoe City: Male subject wired $2000 to an unknown suspect for a vacation rental off Craigslist. The victim and his family showed up and were let in by the cleaning lady. Whilst sleeping, the property owner showed up and told him that he was scammed. The owner allowed the family to spend the night as it was late, and temperature was below 20 degrees.
CART AND ALL!, Jan. 3, 10 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: A male and female entered the store and attempted to pay for groceries with a bad check. When the check was declined the suspects left with their full cart of groceries and without paying.
BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR RACK, Jan. 5, 11:15 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect stole six pairs of skis off a victim’s vehicle. He also stole the entire locked ski rack.
ROAD RAGE, Jan. 5, 11:20 a.m., Bear Street, Kings Beach: A male subject began tailgating an unmarked patrol car. He honked, falsehd his lights and then veered onto a side street. The deputy followed the vehicle which was speeding in the grid. He pulled over the car and cited the driver for reckless driving and counseled him about road rage.
SHOTS FIRED, Jan. 10, 10:15 a.m., Mankato Place, Homewood: Unknown suspect shot a BB gun into a victim’s window causing $5000 in damage.
POLE THIEF, Jan. 11, 5:30 p.m., Northstar, Truckee: An unknown suspect stole a woman’s poles while she was lunching at the mid mountain lodge.
STABBED, Jan. 11, 5:30 p.m., Mckinney Creek, Tahoma: During a domestic incident between husband and wife, a male bystander stabbed the male in the stomach, in an act of self defense. The husband was transported to the hospital and charges are pending.
DRUNK AND DISORDERLY, Jan. 12, 10:20 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: Report taken for a battery. Three males got into a verbal argument. The two male victims were intoxicated and could not provide many details. The suspect punched both victim’s in the face, and one was transported to the hospital. Later one victim said eh was actually jumped by 3 or 4 men but no prosecution was desired.
SKIS GONE, Jan. 13, Ski View Way, Truckee: A victim showed up to her vaction condo to find all the family’s ski equipment was stolen from their storage locker. The loss was $4100.
STORM NECCESITY III, Jan. 14, Cedar Lane, Homewood: Unknown suspect broke into a shed and stole a $1500 snow blower.
STING OPERATION, Jan. 14, River Road, Olympic Valley: Five different subject were cited for purchasing alcohol for a minor during an Alcoholic Beverage Control sting. One subject was cited for urinating in public.
DOMESTIC II, Jan. 14, Salmon Street, Kings Beach: Female suspect was arrested for domestic battery against her boyfriend.
WATCH YOUR TIRES, Jan. 14, 11:50 p.m., West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Unknown suspect slashed all four tires and broke two windows of victim’s vehicle. $1600 in damages is estimated.
DUI, Jan. 15, 2:45 a.m., Agatam Avenue, Tahoe Vista: Male subject was pulled over for speeding and subsequently turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.
