MORE VANDALISM, June 30, 1:42 p.m., Truckee: Unknown suspect(s) vandalized property on the Legacy Trail.
IOU FROM IOWA, July 1, 8:58 a.m., Buckhorn Ridge Court: Someone contacted the Truckee Police Department to report being a victim of identity theft. The suspect appears to be located in Iowa City, Iowa.
FLEEING THE SCENE, July 1, 11:54 a.m., Truckee: An officer witnessed a traffic collision where the vehicle at fault fled the scene.
CANDID CAMERA, July 1, 2:26 p.m., Dorchester Drive: A person was observed via a surveillance camera entering and removing property from a residence. The suspect was located and arrested for residential burglary.
HIT AND RUN, July 1, 4:15 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A subject reported a hit and run in a downtown Truckee parking lot that caused property damage.
VANDALS ON THE LOOSE, July 2, 12:01 a.m., Brockway Road: A man reported a history of vandalism to his vehicle and requested a report to be generated so he could document the incidents.
ROAD BLOCK, July 2, 12:40 a.m., Truckee: Truckee Police and Truckee Fire were dispatched to a male adult lying in the intersection of Donner Pass Road and Coldstream Road. He was transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital and admitted. The man was cited for public intoxication and released from the hospital.
TOO FAST, July 2, 11:05 a.m., Davos Drive: Speeders were reported within a block of Davos Drive.
REAR ENDED, July 2, 2:01 p.m., Truckee: Minor injuries occurred in a two vehicle, rear-end collision.
MORNING MADNESS, July 2, 2:22 p.m., Truckee: A subject called the police department to file a complaint regarding construction vehicles and personnel traveling southbound early in the morning that were using air brakes and speeding.
SUSPENDED LICENSE, July 2, 2:15 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A vehicle stop led to a misdemeanor citation and release for driving on a suspended license. A report was taken and the vehicle was towed.
SMOKEY THE BANDIT, July 2, 12:58 p.m., Brockway Road: An intoxicated subject discarded a lit cigarette, causing forestland to be burned.
POSSIBLE CHILD ABUSE, July 2, 2:15 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A traffic stop occurred after a child was observed not in a car seat. The mother of the child admitted to using meth. A Suspected Child Abuse Report was taken and the mother was cited.
MISSING MONEY POUCH, July 2, 7 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A money pouch containing cash was found during Truckee Thursdays. The owner was unable to be determined, so the pouch was booked into evidence as found property.
FIGHTING DRUNK, July 2, 9:39 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A drunken male was arrested for fighting in downtown Truckee.
DOUBLE WHAMMY, July 2, 10:08 p.m., Donner Pass Road: Officers contacted an intoxicated subject outside of the Amtrak station. The person was arrested for public intoxication and was discovered to have an out-of-county warrant.
DRUGGED DRIVING?, July 2, 10:52 p.m., Truckee: A subject was stopped for traffic violations and was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. The subject was later released due to pending blood test results.
WATCH WHERE YOU STAGGER, July 3, 12:53 a.m., Truckee: A subject was stopped while staggering into traffic and was arrested for public intoxication.
ERRATIC DRIVING, July 3, 1:12, a.m., Truckee: A vehicle was stopped for erratic driving behavior. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
CHILLIN’ IN THE STREET, July 3, 2:44 a.m., Truckee: A subjected was contacted while sitting in the middle of the roadway. The person was arrested for public intoxication.
INJURED CYCLIST, July 3, 10:54 a.m., Truckee: Moderate injury occurred to a solo bicyclist after crashing off the roadway.
SLAPPED, July 3, 10:35 a.m., Mougle Lane: A woman was arrested and booked after slapping a male during an argument.
MAKING A SCENE, July 3, 8:47 p.m., Dorchester Drive: An intoxicated male was contacted after refusing to leave a store upon request. In addition to being too intoxicated to care for himself, the subject was found to have a local warrant and was subsequently placed under arrest.
LOOK BOTH WAYS, July 3, 10:30 p.m., Glenshire Drive: A driver was stopped for crossing into oncoming traffic and was arrested for a DUI.
DON’T PARK HERE, July 4, 5:30 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A parked vehicle was in violation of a temporary no parking sign for a special event. The vehicle was subsequently towed.
LEFT BEHIND, July 4, 2 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A shop employee reported abandoned items.
FIREWORKS, July 4, 3:37 p.m., Oslo Drive: People were reported to be lighting off fireworks. The subjects surrendered the fireworks.
YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE, July 4, 5:54 p.m., South Shore Drive: A man observed passed out in a Donner Lake parking lot was found to be unable to care for himself due to intoxication. He was arrested and transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital for medical clearance. In addition, the subject had also violated the terms of his felony probation. He was booked into the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office without further incident.
ANOTHER SUSPENDED LICENSE, July 4, 6 p.m., Jeffrey Pine Road: A driver was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was driving on a suspended license and was subsequently cited and released.
UNLICENSED DRIVER, July 4, 7:15 p.m., Truckee: A juvenile was stopped for speeding and was found to be unlicensed.
POT POSSESSION, July 4, 7:33 p.m., Truckee: A car was stopped for a vehicle code violation. During the investigation it was determined the driver was in possession of marijuana. The driver was cited and released.
CAUSING A RAUCOUS, July 4, 7:56 p.m., Donner Lake Drive: An individual was attempting to fight with people in the area and caused a disturbance at a gift shop. The subject was arrested for being intoxicated in public.
DRUNKENNESS, July 4, 7:59 p.m., Truckee: A subject was arrested after being found passed out in a parking lot.
CAR ACCIDENT, July 4, 10:54 p.m., Truckee: A driver collided into two vehicles that were waiting to turn at a stoplight. Both parties that were victims of the collision sustained minor injuries. The driver suspected to have been responsible for the accident sustained major injuries and was transported to Renown Hospital in Reno.
DUI-INDUCED ACCIDENT? July 4, 10:58 p.m., Truckee: A case number was taken to document a felony DUI in relation to a collision.
BIKE VS. PED, July 5, 12:18 a.m., Truckee: Minor injuries occurred as a result of a bicycle versus pedestrian collision.
DRUNK STUMBLES, July 5, 12:45 a.m., Donner Pass Road: A very intoxicated individual was found stumbling into the roadway. The subject was arrested for public intoxication.
MYSTERY BIKE, July 5, 12:14 p.m., Rock Street: A woman found a bike near her house. The bike was booked for safekeeping.
PARTY ON, July 5, 6:59 p.m., Truckee: A vehicle was located and stopped after a report was made in regards to a subject driving under the influence. The driver was not driving under the influence but was found to be in possession of illegal fireworks and marijuana. The driver was cited and released.
THREE CAR PILE-UP, July 6, 7:02 a.m., Truckee: No injuries occurred during a collision that involved three separate vehicles.
BURGLARY, July 6, 8:10 a.m., Estates Drive: The victim of a residential burglary phoned the Truckee Police Department to file a report.
TOWED VEHICLE, July 6, 2:14 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A vehicle was towed by the request of a private party.
NIXLE TIP, July 6, 1:28 p.m., Truckee: The Truckee Police Department received a Nixle tip for an abandoned bicycle. The bicycle was transported to the police department and booked as found property.
PROBABLE CAUSE, July 6, 2:32 p.m., Pioneer Trail: Two subjects were contacted in the area during a disturbance call. Probable cause led to a search of their vehicle and revealed numerous smoking pipes commonly used for ingesting narcotics. The suspect was cited and released.
ANOTHER HIT AND RUN, July 6, 5:37 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A report was taken for a vehicle hit-and-run traffic investigation.
ANOTHER CAR ACCIDENT, July 7, 12:14 a.m., Northwoods Boulevard: A vehicle collision occurred and was reported.
