POSSESSION, June 2, 9 a.m., Golden Avenue, Kings Beach: A female subject was cited for possession of methamphetamine after a consensual contact in a parked car.
SURRENDERING, June 3, 4 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A man turned himself in at the sheriff’s office for outstanding warrants. He was cited and released.
OUTSTANDING WARRANT, June 4, 11:15 a.m., Rainbow Avenue, Kings Beach: A female was cited and released on an outstanding Placer County Warrant.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, June 4, 3:45 p.m., River Road, Truckee: A man was arrested on a domestic violence charge.
INTOXICATED, June 4, 11 p.m., River Road, Tahoe City: A man was taken into protective custody due to his high levels of intoxication.
ANOTHER WARRANT, June 5, 6:30 a.m., Fabian Way, Tahoe City: A male subject was cited and released on a Placer County warrant.
MULTIPLE WARRANTS, June 5, 7 p.m., Sahara Drive, Carnelian Bay: A woman was contacted during a traffic stop and was determined to have three outstanding Placer County warrants. She was arrested and booked.
DUI, June 5, 11:30 p.m., Hurricane Bay, Homewood: A male subject was turned over to CHP for suspicion of DUI.
WORKING THE CORNER, June 6, 10 a.m., Trout Avenue/Coon Street, Kings Beach: A woman reported that three males tried to sell her cocaine on the street corner. The Placer County Sheriff’s office contacted two of the males and arrested one for possession of a controlled substance.
ASSAULT, June 6, 3 p.m., Trout Avenue, Kings Beach: A report was taken for an assault that occurred between a male and a female.
LITTERING AND… June 7, 1 p.m., Route 28, Homewood: A female was cited for littering when she threw a paper towel into the lake.
A WARRANTED ARREST, June 8, 10 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A man was arrested at the sheriff’s office for an outstanding Placer County warrant.
BLACK AND BLUE, June 8, 12:45 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: A woman was arrested for hitting her husband in the face, causing a bloody nose and a black eye.
MOUNTAIN BIKE THEFT, June 9, 4 p.m., Korlebu Lane, Carnelian Bay: A report was taken regarding an incident that occurred on June 7 when an unknown suspect stole a mountain bike and tools from the back of a man’s unsecured truck.
TWO COUNTY OFFENDER, June 10, 11 a.m., Palisades Drive, Truckee: A man was arrested on two warrants out of two separate counties.
NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT, June 10, 9:30 p.m., Highlands View Road, Truckee: A physical altercation was reported to the police, and a man was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
SEEING THINGS, June 11, 12:45 a.m., Brook Avenue, Kings Beach: A man called the police to report that 20 men were waiting outside his residence and were stalking him. No one was found near the man’s home. He was then taken into custody for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
STOLEN PROPERTY, June 11, 7:30 a.m., West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: An unknown suspect stole a traffic counter valued at $1,500.
OH SNAP!, June 11, 11:30 p.m., Kings Way, Tahoe Vista: A man was arrested for breaking his wife’s arm.
IDENTITY THEFT, June 12, no time reported, Bitter Brush Way, Truckee: An unknown suspect attempted to file a tax return in victim’s name.
COUNTERFEIT, June 12, 7 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: A victim reported receiving a counterfeit $20 during a retail transaction. Later, a different business confiscated it.
EXTREME INTOXICATION, June 13, 1:20 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A man was taken into protective custody for extreme intoxication.
LOCAL WARRANT, June 13, 3 p.m., Steelhead Avenue, Kings Beach: A man was cited and released on a Placer County warrant.
SLIPPERY WHEN WET, June 13, 10 p.m., Lake Forest Road, Tahoe City: A man was taken into custody for public intoxication after the Coast Guard reported a male subject falling off the dock and into the water.
LASSEN WARRANT, June 14, 12 p.m., Cove Avenue/Islet Avenue, Kings Beach: A man was cited and released on a Lassen County warrant.
CAN’T STAY HERE, June 14, 4:45 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A man was arrested for public intoxication and an outstanding warrant after refusing to leave a drinking establishment.

MOTORCYCLE BLUES, July 7, 7:46 a.m., Donner Pass Road: A reporting party had a motorcycle towed from the school district parking lot. The owner of the motorcycle became very upset and left several harassing messages on the person’s cell phone.
HIT, RUN, CAUGHT, July 7, 12:39 p.m., Donner Pass Road: A hit and run with property damage was reported. The suspect was located and placed under arrest.
PROPERTY DAMAGE, July 7, 10:28 p.m., Dorchester Drive: An individual reported damage to their personal property. The suspect was identified and the incident was investigated.
ILLEGAL CAMPFIRE, July 8, 1:19 p.m., Skislope Way: The Truckee Fire Department requested assistance in investigating a suspicious fire. It was determined the fire was caused by an illegal campfire. The two suspects were located, cited, and released.
IDENTITY THEFT, July 8, 1:44 p.m., Winter Creek Loop: A victim reported an unknown suspect had fraudulently used his social security number to obtain credit and wanted a report to be taken for documentation.
WHAT HAPPENED WHERE?, July 9, 10:17 a.m., Truckee: A call was received from a distressed female who claimed she had been the victim of a domestic violence incident that occurred somewhere along I-80 near Truckee. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s office, where the victim resides, conducted a welfare check and determined the altercation was only a verbal argument outside of Jackson Hole, Wyo.
THREE CAR ACCIDENT, July 9, 1:43 p.m., Truckee: A minor injury occurred in a collision involving three vehicles.
FELONY ARREST, July 9, 12:24 p.m., Pioneer Trail: A felony warrant was served at a local residence. During the investigation, the father of the suspect attempted to harbor or deny entry into the residence. The suspect was arrested and charged with the felony warrant and narcotic possession.
INSIDE JOB, July 10, 8:47 a.m., Donner Pass Road: A subject inside the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office lobby had a misdemeanor warrant. He was arrested on the warrant and booked without incident.
ANOTHER CAR ACCIDENT, July 10, 3:11 p.m., Truckee: An accident involving two vehicles occurred. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed.
CAR ACCIDENT AGAIN, July 10, 5:55 p.m., Truckee: A minor injury resulted from a collision involving two vehicles.
IN A DITCH, July 10, 11:56 p.m., Truckee: It was reported to the police department that a driver had driven off the road and into a ditch. When officers arrived, they found the driver to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked into the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
STUMBLINA, July 11, 11:18 p.m., Church Street: Officers saw a woman stumbling on foot in the roadway. Upon contact, it was determined that she was unable to care for herself due to being under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for public intoxication.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, July 12, 10:23 a.m., East Alder Creek Road: A suspect was arrested for domestic violence.
BREAKING HIS FALL, July 12, 5:31 p.m., Donner Pass Road: An intoxicated man entered a convenience store. While in the store he caused damage by falling and grabbing onto a display case.
KIDS BEING KIDS? July 13, 8:02 a.m., Donner Pass Road: Minor vandalism that occurred over a several day period was reported. Based on the vandalism, it appears young juveniles were involved. The juveniles were later identified and admonished for their actions. The school requested an informational report for documentation. The school also indicated that they would handle the incident from an administrative level.
MISSING MIRROR, July 13, 10:20 a.m., Northwoods Boulevard: The theft of a mirror from the side of a vehicle was reported stolen over the weekend.
ANOTHER CAR ACCIDENT, July 13, 1:48 p.m., Truckee: An accident involving two vehicles occurred. No injuries were reported.
PARTY FOUL, July 13, 2:07 p.m., Donner Pass Road: During the investigation of a traffic collision, one of the drivers backed into a parked police vehicle.
WHICH WAY IS OUT?, July 13, 8:51 p.m., Davos Drive: A man became lost in the Carpenter Valley area while on a bicycle ride. When he contacted his family, his phone lost battery power. Care flight located the man by air, but was unable to pick him up. The Nevada County Sheriff’s office personnel went to Carpenter Valley and located the subject.
OLD HABITS DIE HARD, July 14, 10:16 p.m., Hope Court: A former husband and wife were involved in a domestic violence incident. The wife was found to be the dominant aggressor and was arrested. She was transported to the Nevada County Sheriff’s office without further incident.
LOOSE LOAD, July 15, 11:46 a.m., Truckee: A traveling vehicle had an unsecured load. The unsecured load fell into the opposing lane and caused damage to another vehicle.
NAP TIME, July 15, 5:33 p.m., Brockway: A subject was located unconscious on the pavement in a business parking lot. The individual was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND, July 15, 6:30 p.m., Brockway: A woman was found passed out next to a tree. It was determined she was intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was placed under arrest.
DOG BITE, July 15, 8:06 p.m., Iris Road: A subject called to report a dog bite. A report was generated to document the incident and was forwarded to the animal control office for a follow-up.
MINOR POSSESSION, July 16, 3:30 p.m., East River Street: A minor was stopped for possession and given a citation.
PARKED PATROL UNIT HIT, July 16, 6:22 p.m., Truckee: A driver backed his vehicle into a parked patrol unit, resulting in no damage or injury.
DUI, July 16, 9:05 p.m., Truckee: A driver was arrested for a DUI after being stopped for several vehicle code violations.
MAGNUM P.I., July 17, 9:49 a.m., Pine Avenue: A woman reported a vehicle was “stalking her.” The vehicle was identified and it was revealed the suspect was a licensed private investigator.
STOLEN GOODS, July 17, 11:46 a.m., Bridge Street: An unknown suspect stole a victim’s wallet and cellular phone.
PED VS. BIKE, July 17, 1:10 p.m., Pine Avenue: A pedestrian versus bicycle injury collision occurred.
CHILDISH BEHAVIOR, July 17, 2:24 p.m., Truckee: A construction company reported reckless behavior of juvenile in and around a construction site.
LOUD AND INTOXICATED, July 17, 9:32 p.m., Copenhagen Drive: Officers responded to a noisecomplaint in a residential area reported by several 911 callers. Upon arrival, a subject was arrested for public intoxication and booked at the Truckee Jail.
RESPECT YOUR ELDERS, July 17, 10:17 p.m., Glenshire Drive: A juvenile was being disrespectful and defiant to parents.
HOT DOGS, July 18, 4:43 p.m., Northwoods Boulevard: Two dogs were seen in a parked vehicle that was exposed to direct sunlight and rising temperatures. The owner was located and subsequently cited.
DUI, July 19, 2:06 a.m., Truckee: A driver was arrested for DUI after being stopped for vehicle code violations.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, July 19, 9:57 a.m., Donner Pass Road: A minor traffic collision occurred with no injuries. However, an accident report was requested.
TAGGED, July 20, 7:59 p.m., Deerfield Drive: An unknown suspect spray-painted symbols and numbers in several places on the side and back of a business.
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE, July 20, 11:15 p.m., Granite Drive: A person reported hearing a female voice calling for help behind his residence in a wooded area. An extensive area check was completed and an intoxicated female was located. The woman was escorted out of the woods and subsequently arrested. It was found she had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. She was arrested and transported to the Nevada County Sheriff’s office.
