CRAIGSLIST GONE WRONG, Dec. 26, 12 p.m., Kings Way, Kings Beach: A man pre-paid for a rental house he had found on craigslist. When he arrived at the vacation home, he found he had been swindled out of $1,100.

SMILE! YOU ARE ON CANDID CAMERA, Dec. 27, 11:45 a.m., North Lake Blvd., Kings Beach: An unknown suspect broke into a business and stole money from the change machine. The suspect was later identified via surveillance video.

DRUNK AND RECKLESS, Dec. 27, 2:15 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: A male was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest.


INTO THE WILD, Dec. 27, 5 p.m., Northstar Drive, Truckee: A report was taken for a call to search and rescue of a lost skier. The male skier was located prior to a full callout of the rescue team.

FINDER’S KEEPER’S, Dec. 28, 5 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: A victim lost his wallet somewhere in the Village at Squaw Valley on Christmas day. Before he was able to cancel his credit cards, $2,000 in charges were made.

DUI COUNTRY, Dec. 29, 8:30 p.m., West Lake Blvd., Tahoe City: A male subject was turned over to the California Highway Police for a suspected DUI.

WHICH WAY?, Dec. 30, 5 p.m., Northstar Drive, Truckee: A report was taken for a lost snowboarder who took a wrong turn on the slopes of Northstar and went out of bounds. He found his way into the Martis Camp subdivision and the search was cancelled.

CRAIGSLIST GONE WRONG II, Dec. 30, 5:45 p.m.: A woman rented and pre-paid for a vacation house she found on craigslist. When she got there, she found out a suspect was posing as a property manager defrauded her. She lost $2,700. 

TAKE THE CASH AND RUN, Dec. 30, 11:30 p.m., North Lake Blvd., Carnelian Bay: A report was taken for theft of a wallet. The wallet was turned in to the business where it was lost, but all the cash was missing.

JUST PLAIN MEAN, Dec. 31, 2:20 p.m., Donner Pass Rd., Truckee: Two males were found to be trying to pelt an elderly couple with unknown objects. Both men were taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

AGGRESSIVE PASSENGERS, Dec. 31, 11:30 p.m., River Road, Tahoe City: An altercation between a cab driver and his occupants led to one passenger breaking the window of a taxi. Both passengers were arrested for public intoxication.

FROGGER, Jan. 26, 7 p.m., Truckee: A subject was arrested for being drunk in public after stumbling in front of cars.

OUT OF IT, Jan. 27, 10 p.m., Bridge Street, Truckee: A man was found passed out on the bathroom floor in a downtown gas station. The man was intoxicated and subsequently arrested. He was then medically cleared at Tahoe Forest Hospital and booked.

DISORDERLY, Jan. 28, 7 p.m., Bridge Street, Truckee: A report of a man displaying bizarre behavior in the kitchen area of a restaurant brought cops to the scene in downtown Truckee. The man was located and found to be too intoxicated for his safety. He was arrested and booked without incident.

ASSAULT, Jan. 29, 1:07 p.m., Truckee: A report was taken for a subject slapping a child. Officers completed an investigation and took a report.

WANTED MAN, Jan. 29, 5 p.m., Donner Pass Rd., Truckee: After a 911 call for suspicious activity, officers investigated and found a subject with numerous out-of-county warrants; he was subsequently arrested.

NOT A WELCOME CUSTOMER, Jan. 30, 11:07 a.m., Donner Pass Rd., Truckee: A man was contacted for disturbing patrons at a business. He was arrested for being drunk in public.

GET OUT, Jan. 30, 7:29 p.m., Boca View Ct., Truckee: A subject violated a restraining order and entered a residence.

DUI COUNTRY, Jan. 30, 11:47 p.m., Truckee: A vehicle was stopped for a vehicle code violation, then the driver was arrested for a DUI.

DUI COUNTRY II, Feb. 2, 2:13 a.m., Estates Drive, Truckee: A complaint for loud music was called in, and once officers arrived discovered a man was intoxicated and had driven his motor vehicle while impaired. He also had an active Placer County warrant. He was arrested and booked without any further incident.

A LITTLE TOO TIPSY, Feb. 3, 3:37 a.m., Donner Pass Rd., Truckee: A subject was contacted and detained for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

SIBLING RIVARLY, Feb. 3, 1:46 p.m., Truckee: A report was taken regarding a physical altercation between siblings.

OUT-OF-TOWN-ERS, Feb. 6, 3:15 a.m., Woodbridge Lane, Truckee: Subjects were lost and stuck in the snow. The car was found to have false tags and expired registration. The car was towed from the scene and the subjects transported to Reno by cab.

SKI BANDIT, Feb. 6, 1:44 p.m., Snowpeak Way, Truckee: a victim reported theft of skis from a local ski area.

TOO DRUNK FOR PUBLIC, Feb. 7, 7:31 p.m., Swiss Lane, Truckee: A subject was arrested for public intoxication following a disturbance outside a local residence.

TRAFFIC NO-GO, Feb. 9, 8:18 a.m., Truckee: A driver was stopped and he did not have a driver’s license on him. He also had marijuana in his possession.

GETTING PHYSICAL, Feb. 11, 6:43 a.m., Davos Drive: A physical fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend led to the boyfriend being arrested for domestic violence.

MOTORWAYS, Feb. 11, 7:49 a.m., Nicolas Drive: A traffic complaint was taken over the phone regarding consistent traffic speed and noise from vehicles entering and exiting a residential area.

STOLEN GOODS, Feb. 11, 8:15 a.m., Palisades Drive: A woman reported her purse had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

A GROWING INDUSTRY, Feb. 11, 12:55 a.m., Davos Drive: There was an informational report taken about a marijuana grow.

WHERE TO?, Feb. 12, 6:50 a.m., Bridge Street: A man reported that his GPS had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

GROWING PAINS, Feb. 12, 7:47 a.m., Truckee Airport Road: An informational report was taken about an argument between a mother and her teenage son.

ASSAULT, Feb. 13, 1:25 a.m., Heidi Way: A woman was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence against her husband.

GOOD CITIZEN, Feb. 13, 2:53p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: A person found cash in the parking lot and turned it in.

WALKING CROOKED, Feb. 13, 3:46 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: Officers contacted a person after they observed he was staggering into the roadway. He was determined to be publicly intoxicated and arrested.

ON A ROLL, Feb. 13, 7:15 p.m., Truckee: A subject was in the parking lot of a convenience store. The person was found to be too intoxicated and arrested for public intoxication.

HUG O’ WAR, Feb. 14, 10:23 a.m., Truckee: A man, found by officers, was hugging a light pole. He was arrested for public intoxication.
