SHARE THE ROAD Aug. 25, 8 a.m., Truckee: There was a minor injury after a vehicle and biker collision. The vehicle driver was cited for a violation.

UNATTENED MINORS Aug. 25, 2:42 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: A dad left his two children in his vehicle with engine running. When a citizen contacted the father about the two kids, the father allegedly hit the citizen with his car. The father was cited and released.

WANTED MAN Aug. 26, 10:57 a.m., Stallion Way: A citizen reported that a male was walking through a wooded area packing a handgun. An officer arrived on the scene and the suspect fled, discharging his weapon while running. The suspect was located and arrested, then charged with numerous felonies.

NOISY DRUNK Aug. 27, 9:16 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: There were multiple calls about a male suspect causing disturbances in downtown. The suspect was later found, arrested, and transported to Nevada County Sheriffs’ Office for intoxication. Later, additional narcotics were discovered and the subject was booked.

TRYING TO FIND OSCAR THE GROUCH Aug. 27, 9:22 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: Police contacted suspects as they were attempting to knock over garbage cans downtown. One subject was arrested for being drunk in public. The other subject was arrested for being drunk in public and resisting arrest after he interfered with officers and then attempted to fight officers. Both subjects were booked into the Truckee jail.

NOT A BED Aug. 27, 10:15 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: A female subject was found passed out on the sidewalk.

DRUNKEN COLLISION Aug. 28, 5:45 p.m., Palisades Dr.: A citizen called in a DUI driver after her vehicle was struck in a local parking lot. Officers arrived and arrested the other driver for driving under the influence.

DIRTY DOZEN Aug. 29, 7:17 p.m., Bernese Ln.: Nearly a dozen unlocked vehicles were entered by an unknown suspect. A wallet was stolen, but nothing else was reported.

LOCK YOUR DOORS Aug. 29, 8:31 a.m., Schussing Way: Theft was reported from an unlocked vehicle.

MOM KNOWS BEST Aug. 29, 3:35 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: A woman requested a welfare check on her son. The subject was contacted and found under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

NOT AMICABLE Aug. 29, 7:06 pm., Alder Creek Drive: A verbal argument between an ex-husband and ex-wife was reported.

A BEER THIEVERY Aug. 30, 1:44 a.m., Donner Pass Rd.: A subject became agitated after the bouncer took away his beer when he was exiting the bar. The subject was subdued by the bar staff and later arrested for public intoxication.

THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM Aug. 30, 2:11 a.m., Donner Pass Rd.: Police observed a vehicle driving over a curb downtown. After being stopped, the driver was arrested for his third DUI.

PETTY THIEF Sept. 8, 8:54 a.m. Truckee: A victim reported theft of purse from an un-locked vehicle. No suspect information was provided, but a report was taken.

ONCE THE DUST SETTLES Sept. 8, 2:21 p.m., Black Rock Desert: A victim reported her purse was lost somewhere in the Black Rock Desert when she was attending Burning Man. The victim’s purse contained all her identification. She requested a police report so she could attend her flight back home.

BEHIND THE BACK OF THE DMV Sept. 10, 12:50 p.m., Truckee: After being stopped for a traffic violation, the driver was found to be unlicensed.

NOT AGAIN! Sept. 10, 3:16 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: A victim reported that a cell phone was taken from an unlocked vehicle.

LOST & FOUND Sept. 11, 8:16 a.m., Lodge Trailer Dr.: An IPad Mini was found and turned into Truckee Police Department as found property.

OOPS…JUST KIDDING Sept. 11, 8:36 a.m., Northwoods Blvd.: A report was taken for missing tools from a house, but after further investigation it was concluded that the tools were misplaced and not stolen.

VERBAL CONFRONTATION Sept. 11, 10:25 p.m., Donner Pass Rd.: After a verbal argument turned physical between bar staff and suspect, the suspect was arrested for being drunk in public.

TRAPPED Sept. 12, 8:03 p.m., Skiview Loop: After a single vehicle collision, the driver could not get out of car and had to stay inside vehicle. The suspect was later arrested for a DUI.

DON’T TRUST EVERYTHING ON THE WEB Sept. 14, 11 p.m., Truckee: Someone responded to a craigslist.com ad for a trailer. After wiring money, the trailer was never received. The victim would like an informational report to document the loss.

WHERE’D YOU GO? Sept. 14, 12:50 p.m., Jeffrey Pine Rd.: Voluntary missing adult reported. The missing person was located prior to report submission.
