UNFIT TO DRIVE, April 29, 2:25 a.m., Truckee: a vehicle was stopped for multiple violations. The driver was discovered to be unfit to drive and was given a ride off the freeway.

UNLOCKED VEHICLE, April 29, 7:10 a.m., Truckee: Victim reported theft of cash from unlocked vehicle in public parking lot.


DUI, April 29, 11:45 p.m., Truckee: A vehicle was stopped for code violations and the driver was found to be driving under the influence.

DECK FALL, April 30, 5:09 p.m., Truckee: A subject fell from a second story deck.

ROOM WARRANT, May 1, 3 p.m., Truckee: Subject didn’t pay for hotel room. Subject was found to have two misdemeanors.  

YOUNG HITCHHIKER, April 4, 3:58 p.m., Truckee: There was a report that a 12-year-old boy was seen hitchhiking on the side of the road. The boy said he was afraid to go home to mother; officers mediated the situation.

FRAUD, April 1, 4:30 p.m., Squaw Peak Road, Olympic Valley: Unknown suspect obtained victim’s credit card number to make purchases in North Carolina.

JOB SITE ROBBERY, April 2, 8 a.m., West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: Unknown suspect(s) stole several tools from a jobsite. There are multiple victims.

HELP NEEDED ON HIKE, April 2, 5:30 p.m., Shirley Canyon: Search initiated for a couple that had requested a rescue because it would be dark soon.  Victims found uninjured.

MISSING MONEY, April 3, 3:45 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Kings Beach: Victim suspects a female stole $77 in cash from her room off the table.

RUMMAGING, April 4, 12 p.m., Kings Beach: Unknown suspect forced entry into victim’s vacation home and rummaged through the house.  Nothing taken.

PROBATION VIOLATION, April 4, 5:45 p.m., Rainbow/Bear, Kings Beach: During a probation search, a male subject was determined to be drinking against his probation terms. Subject was arrested for public intoxication and probation violation. Another male was also arrested on a Placer County warrant.

COURT ORDER VIOLATION, April 6, 9 a.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City: A report was taken for violation of a court order due to the father refusing to return the child back to the mother in a timely manner.

EAT AND RUN, April 6, 8 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Squaw, Olympic valley: Unknown suspects left a business without paying for a pizza and soda.

EX-RETALIATION, April 7, 9:30 a.m., Commonwealth Drive, Kings Beach: Male victim suspects his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend of throwing a rock through the back window of his vehicle.

STOLEN CAR BATTERY, April 7, 1 p.m., Steelhead Avenue, Kings Beach: Unknown suspect broke into victim’s van and stole the battery.

STOLEN WALLET, April 7, 1 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: Unknown suspect stole victim’s wallet containing $300 cash from the locker room.

VOUCHER FRAUD, April 9, 2 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: Three ski area vouchers were confiscated by security after having an unusual amount of vouchers were redeemed in one day.  No one witnessed the involved parties selling any tickets.

FIREBALL, April 9, 7 p.m., North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe Vista: Unknown suspect stole a bottle of Fireball whiskey from a business. It was later determined to be a juvenile who was responsible for several local thefts.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, April 12, Hurricane Bay, Tahoe City: A male subject was arrested for domestic violence after getting into an argument over parking and the situation escalated.

STOLEN GLASSES, April 12, 2 p.m., Squaw Valley Road, Olympic Valley: Unknown suspect stole victim’s sunglasses from the employee locker room.

DUI, April 14, 1 a.m., River Road, Tahoe City: Male subject turned over to CHP for suspected DUI.
