The club’s goals are to promote an interest in gardening, with particular emphasis on the problems at high altitude. Join this amazing group of gardeners and view eight gardens, including a lakefront estate and several hilltop gardens with sweeping lake views. Light refreshments will be served. The proceeds from the tour will fund one or two $1,000 scholarships to encourage study in landscaping, horticulture, forestry or environmental science and up to $5,000 in grants to local community projects such as Thunderbird Lodge, Tahoe City Historical Society, the Watson Cabin, Gatekeeper’s Museum, as well as local schools and libraries.
