Free movie premier at Alibi Truckee!
The Ring of Fire expedition, as it grew to be known, is the brainchild of Nick Cahill, an adventure filmmaker, Nat Geo cover photographer, and backcountry snowboarder from Lake Tahoe, California. After too many days of dreaming during Covid lockdown, Nick decided it was time to attempt a feat far greater than anything he’d done before. He dreamt of climbing and split boarding as many North American volcanoes as he could reach in 30 days. He recruited a climbing partner Danny Kern, a fellow photographer and filmmaker. They brought on a guide Tailer Spinney and set out in his converted 1988 school bus with film and adventure equipment. Less than 30 days later, they’d climbed and split boarded more than 65,000 vertical feet, and intricately documented the entire journey. The end result is an inspirational tale of living in the moment, conquering challenges, getting out there and going for the top!
100% of the raffle donation proceeds will be going to High Fives Foundation.
