Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra (CATS) is pleased to help promote this upcoming house concert for InConcert Sierra and Charlotte Dewar, featuring world-renowned pianist Nina Scheidmantel.

Nina was born in Lichtenfels, Bavaria, Germany, in 1992, to a Chinese and German family. She began piano lessons with Russian professor, Alla Schatz, at age 6, and was performing concerts by age 10. Nina holds a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and is pursuing her master’s degree in piano performance at the Budapest Liszt Music Academy. She has performed solo concerts throughout Europe and Asia. In 2016, sheperformed at New York’s Carnegie Hall; in November 2017, Nina performed Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3; and in 2018, she performed with the Peking Symphony Orchestra in Beijing.

The German newspaper, Coburger Tageblatt, described her musical interpretation sophisticated, and her energy and charm a huge appeal to the audience. Neue Presse praised her distinguished artistic style, impressive virtuoso skills, and vivid expressive performance as well as her pure and authentic clarity.

Nina strives to interpret some of the less known works by great composers with the hope of engaging her audience to explore music that they may not otherwise experience. Charlotte is delighted to present her dear and talented friend to this community.

Cost: $25 per person. Cash or check at the door.
Drinks and snacks are served after the concert.
    Audience limited to 35 people.
