House music, a descendent of Disco, has always been about community, inclusivity, dancing, and of course music. As such it’s been a disappointment for many over the recent years–especially after all that COVID put us through, that house music has been so underrepresented in our community. The goal of Foundation/s, a project started by three local DJ’s Shytiegr [Julian Crouch], Ross Cedrus [Ross Adam], and Wickles [Matt Which] in partnership with the Miners Foundry, is to fill that void and foster a community and a mission as old as house music itself: get people to dance together.
