“Ah 5-6-7-8!” Wild Horse Stage Company is thrilled to present one of the longest running musicals in Broadway history, “A Chorus Line”. With more than 6,000 Broadway performances during a 25-year run, “A Chorus Line” won nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Director and Best Choreographer, as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
The show follows 17 dancers in their quest to make the cut for a new Broadway musical. It’s what they’ve worked for – with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives – for the chance to do what they’ve always dreamed of. One by one, they come forward to share the stories of their lives, putting themselves on the line to get the job. When they’re done, so is the audition; and only eight will remain. “A Chorus Line” is the musical for everyone who’s ever had a dream and put it all on the line to make it come true! The show’s score features the iconic musical hits “I Hope I Get It,” “The Music and the Mirror,” “One” and many more.
“A Chorus Line has been the greatest joy and challenge to bring to the stage”, commented Director, John Paul Rivard. “A Chorus Line brings truly beautiful music that hits your soul. It has been an honor to bring this show to stage, and with such an amazing cast!”
The term “triple threat” was coined from the original production of “A Chorus Line,” as the musical requires its cast members to be skilled in the arenas of dancing, singing, and acting. Leading the cast are Adam Semas as Zach, Alexander Cain Biber as Larry, Alex Gumm as Don, Beth Gamboa as Valerie, Cassidy Buchan as Diana, Ella Hennessey as Maggie, Emily Ramey as Sheila, Erich Parker as Richie, Hayden Breiter as Mark, Jake Nichols as Mike, John Paul Rivard as Paul, Kelsey Mato as Kristine, Lara Vo as Connie, Michael Rapisora as Al, Michela Munoz-Brown as Judy, Serena Dantzler as Bebe, Sierra Scott as Cassie, Stephen Moore as Bobby, and Trevor Young as Gregory. They are supported by a talented ensemble featuring Alicia Borden, Bay Eaton, Baylee Spear, Ethan Spier, Gina Lopez, Josh Nichols, Moira Laughlin, Nadia Hill, and Robin Kato-Brong.
“A Chorus Line” will be playing two weekends only, August 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28, at the Carson City Community Center’s Bob Boldrick Theater. Friday shows at 7:30, Saturday shows at 2:00 and 7:30 and Sunday shows at 2:00. “A Chorus Line” is rated PG-13 due to mature subject matter.
