Kids Eat Free

Families can’t afford not to eat at JAX At The Tracks this fall. The historic diner offers a ‘Kids Eat Free’ special on weekday nights. Parents can enjoy scrumptious entrees while kids scarf down items from the special JAX kids menu. Kids love the burger buddies, krinkle pasta with marinara or cheddar sauce, and the cheese or pepperoni flatbread pizza. While they wait for their meals, kids play with Etch-a-Sketches. One free kids meal for kids ages 10 and under for each adult meal purchased. Valid Monday through Friday through Dec. 17. Family Pool and Movie Night

Join the fun at Family Pool and Movie Night. Splash with other families in the pool then head upstairs to the lobby for popcorn and ice cream while enjoying the movie ‘BOLT.’ This is a family event and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Tahoe Players is a community theatrical company that focuses on children’s theater. The company utilizes Tahoe and Reno amateur actors, singers, and dancers, who are supported by a professional director, choreographer, musical and vocal directors, musicians, set designer, and stage manager. This year’s production of Disney’s ‘101 Dalmatians’ is a collaboration with Pet Network, who will be using their dogs in the show in hopes they will be adopted. Tahoe players always uses live music, paid for in part by the Music Performance Players Trust Fund. Ticket are $20 for adults, $15 for children, $25 for table seats, $150 for a booth (seats 4), and $65 for a family pack (seats 2 adults and 2 children.) Children’s Meditation
Fridays
Children can be taught to meditate. In these classes they will learn fun, basic meditation techniques like learning to witness themselves, feeling their auras, listening to the body. and how to strengthen and clear their chakras. KidZone Winter Hours
It’s time to think about and make your year-end contribution to the KidZone. They’d like to continue providing an engaging and fun learning place for you and your children, and have made some cutbacks to stay open until 5 p.m. They are stretched thin till the snow falls, but have a hopeful view of year-end giving from patrons: your immediate support is greatly appreciated. A donation of $500 or more includes a family membership and a standard birthday party. Donations of $250 include a family membership. Free Beginners Yoga

Center for Spiritual Living and Molly MacGregor offer beginning yoga to the community. Integral Hatha Yoga classes involve postures beneficial for the spine and digestion, followed by deep relaxation and breathing practices. Free Beginning Salsa Dance Classes

BB of Salsa Reno has recently moved his studio classes to the Gemini Ballroom on the corner of Mill Street and Terminal Way. With the new location, he is now able to offer his four-week beginning salsa class for free (regularly priced at $45 per person). The class is open to all ages and is beginner friendly.
