Julia Santos-Coy, a Kings Beach resident and 16-year employee with Tahoe Women’s Services, was recently involved in a serious motorcycle accident. Julia suffered the loss of one of her legs, broke her hip, pelvis, and five ribs.
Las Panchitas in Kings Beach is holding a fundraiser, called Hugs & Hello, for Julia on Tuesday, Oct. 12 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The restaurant will donate a percentage of all sales to help Julia with her medical expenses. Tahoe Women’s Services is holding a Kermes fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Boys and Girls Club in Kings Beach, also to help raise money for Julia’s medical bills.
