Truckee River Day Thank You’s

Truckee River Day 2006
On Sunday, Oct. 15, more than 550 volunteers worked on projects throughout the watershed including meadow restoration and wetland protection. Our community restored areas in Martis Valley, on the Legacy Trail along the Truckee River, on the Truckee River at the Glenshire Bridge, at Lake of the Woods, in the Merrill Davies watershed, and in Gray Creek.

Later in the day, dozens and dozens of kids released fingerling brown trout into the Truckee River at Granite Flats.

Many thanks to our supporters, the Truckee River Day Steering Committee, the absolutely fabulous Group Leaders and to the hundreds and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Here is a toast to you all and to the Truckee!
