It may be too late now, but the real tragedy of the Domus building at Chipmunk is not that it looks like “the projects,” or that there are fewer, smaller trees than we expected, but that a building of that size and orientation was built without solar power. People who need subsidized housing could probably also use free or reduced-cost electricity, which could easily have been drawn into the original plans. It may still be possible, but it will be a lot more expensive after-market. Here’s hoping future public project planners will use a little more common sense!
