We are proud to present the third Tahoe Winter Annual, a special edition featuring reader submissions. The theme is winter and the possibilities are endless.
Thank you to everyone who submitted — the submissions were incredible! The door is open to any format, one just needed to keep to the topic. And holy smokes, the breadth of creativity you readers possess is awe-inspiring. It was a tough job to jury the selections.
The following 10 pages are guaranteed to intrigue and inspire — a few pieces may even rankle more sensitive readers. But each piece does its job to highlight the profound and unshakable enchantment with Tahoe winter.
With great pleasure, we are honored to present to you this year’s Top Entry… drum roll please! For the first time, this year the jury chose a written submission. This victorious piece stood out immediately with its sheer power of imagination and Tahoe-centric focus. It’s an allegorical story but it feels as if it just might have happened, perhaps in an alternate universe.
