Our call for artist submissions for the Tahoe Canvas competition was, per usual, met with an outpouring of impressive pieces. We received amazing work from over 30 visual artists and 10 writers, from mixed media to photography, and from poetry collections to short stories. Our panel of judges was given the almost-impossible task of picking the top three visual and literary artists. After hours of deliberation, here are this year’s winning entries. The grand prize winner of each category was awarded a $500 prize package, including $150 to White Buffalo, $150 to Green Rush, $150 to Truckee Tavern and Grill, and $50 to Trunk Show. Runners-up won $100 to Truckee Tavern and Grill, and honorable mentions received $75 to Green Rush. Thank you to everyone who submitted their masterpieces, we were once again blown away by the creative capital in Tahoe.
