This month Tobias, the cat in my house, insisted I visit with some cats. It’s a good thing he did; otherwise I would not have met Lily. Lily is a petite young lady with eyes like an owl. She came to the shelter with two of her kittens. The kittens have since been adopted, and now it’s Lily’s turn.
When I met her, Lily was sunning herself and hanging out with Morris, a more rotund orange tabby. While we were trying to take pictures of Lily, Morris kept jumping in my person’s lap. These shelter mates seem like they have a good time together. Morris reminds me of a rowdy college roommate I once had. Hopefully Morris won’t encourage Lily to skip class to go drinking.
Lily is well mannered and gets along with other cats and even dogs. If you are looking for a new feline friend, check out Lily. For more info on Lily, Morris, or any of the other great animals at the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe, visit hstt.org.
