TRIO Wine Bar & Bistro Reopens
Housed in the historic Kruger-White house in Brickelltown, TRIO Wine Bar & Bistro has reopened under new management. Open daily from 4 p.m. to midnight, the bistro offers over 30 wines by the glass priced from $4 to $14, draft beers and a full menu served until 11 p.m. In addition to the glass list, guests can choose from 10 tasting flights, or create their own. The menu combines diverse flavors with dishes ranging from spring rolls to lamb lollipops, grilled gruyere sandwiches and a selection of small plates. Cal Neva Offers Lake-view Dining Specials
Stop into the Cal Neva Sunday through Thursday for a home-style dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. for only $9.95. Saturday nights enjoy a 12 oz. prime rib served with baked potato, vegetable and salad or soup for only $23.95. Veggie Garden Tour
Slow Food Lake Tahoe will be holding a tour of Truckee Vegetable Gardens on Sunday, August 30, from 1 to 4 pm. Tour three vegetable gardens (two of which also keep chickens), venture on to the Shaw Family Farm, and end at a fourth garden where refreshments will be served.
