The Sierra Avalanche Center (SAC), a non-profit 501c3 organization formed to advise and educate backcountry travelers in the Tahoe region, is once again offering riders a chance to show their support.
The SAC’s last fundraiser of the year, the final ‘Support the SAC: Ski/Ride Day,’ is an absolute must sell if the center is to maintain daily operations through the rest of the winter season.
On Sunday, March 25 all day adult lift tickets to Sugar Bowl are available online for only $30 through Snowbomb.com. All the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated straight to the Sierra Avalanche Center, providing funding for staff salaries, much needed equipment and continued daily operational expenses.
The final ‘Support the SAC: Ski/ Ride Day’ at Sugar Bowl will feature Question & Answer sessions with the SAC’s professional avalanche forecasters. Skiers and snowboarders will also be able to demo the newest avalanche safety gear, inquire about avalanche conditions and anything else related to backcountry travel and recreation.
Tickets are limited so backcountry skiers and riders, as well as resort enthusiasts, are encouraged to purchase their tickets early and plan for a great day on the slopes.
