Out and About: Truckee Celebrates Wolverines with Parade

For the first time ever, a parade through downtown Truckee celebrated the many academic and athletic achievement of Truckee’s students.

Truckee Mayor Richard Anderson and Nevada County Supervisor Ted Owens were on hand to laud the achievements of the Truckee Wolverines, who added a state football and volleyball championship to the trophy rack of Truckee High in 2010. The school band played during the parade that started at the old recreation center and ended at the train depot.
