Labor Day, Sept. 3, was the last day for the Tahoe Trolleys, the Extra Transit Services on Hwy 89 and the Northstar Shuttle on Hwy 267, but the FREE Emerald Bay Shuttle will operate through October 7, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, thanks to the US Forest Service! Emerald Bay service starts in Tahoe City near Bank of America and your transfer to the Nifty Fifty Trolley to South Lake Tahoe is free.

It has been another successful summer for local transit with increased transit riders on all services. The TART and Truckee Transit buses will still operate their regular fall and spring routes. Winter transit planning is already in progress and new programs will roll out by mid-December. LakeTahoeTransit.com.
