Champagne and Bacon and Tahoe Breakz presents a very special evening of world-renowned electronic music as they welcome one of the top international electronic music producers in the world to Tahoe City. Deekline, aka Nick Annand, is traveling in the states for a few select dates showcasing his extremely danceable form of electronic breakbeat music. His music is reminiscent of old school hip hop such as 2 Live Crew and Public Enemy; with funky, driving basslines and bumping grooves that always leave fans sweating and screaming for more.
For locals who celebrated New Years Eve at the Cal Neva this past year, they’ll remember the fury that DJ ICON, aka Connie Wong, unleashed at the strike of midnight. Recently voted one of the top ten DJs in San Francisco by city natives, she is currently one of the most sought-after DJs in the United States. Her style of techfunk and breakbeat drives the crowd with melodic grooves and a heavy, funky beat.
This show is a fundraiser for the Neuroweapon Art Car project for Burning Man 2008. Guests are encouraged to dress in funky costumes and come prepared to dance.
The event starts at 10 p.m. and is 21+. Cost is $10 at the door. The Deep End is located at 850 North Lake Blvd in Tahoe City behind Safeway.
