Jim Stoltz started walking on the Appalachian Trail in 1974 and never stopped. With 28,000 miles under his belt and a guitar under his arm, Stoltz will roll into Truckee to share songs, photos, and stories from his wanderings in the wild as a fundraiser for the Truckee Trails Foundation.
The Truckee show will feature images and songs from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, his Yellowstone-to-Yukon walk, Utah’s Canyon Country, the Northern Rockies, and other wild places across America. Stoltz received an ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ from the Environmental Protection Agency for ‘sharing nature and wilderness with others across America through extraordinary words, images, and music.’
Stoltz will also have copies of his recent book, ‘Walking With the Wild Wind,’ to sign at the event.
His songs from nine different albums get regular airplay on National Public Radio and will also be available for purchase.
