Randy Hill has shown tremendous business acumen with his very capable execution and successful spearheading of Measure C a few years ago to correct the earthquake issues of Tahoe Forest Hospital, secure OB and ECC services, and enable the creation of the Gene Upshaw Tahoe Forest Health System Cancer Center. With one small group challenging the positive aspects of our wonderful and well-recognized cancer center, it’s quite an affront to the 3,000 patients who have had exemplary treatment from our wonderfully qualified doctors and nurses.
Randy’s wife was also challenged with cancer, so he understands the incredible needs of cancer patients and their families/caregivers. In addition, Randy was a leader in turning the local school board from a disintegrating entity into a successful direction and a positive influence on our school system.
There are many of us who are supporting Randy financially as we believe in the well-acclaimed hospital system we have in our rural community. Certain diagnostics are available in other places for less money; however, the availability of an incredible cadre of specialized doctors in our own backyard, available for local treatment, is a very special aspect of this rural hospital. The connection with UC Davis for advanced consultations when needed is invaluable. Randy supports the amazing capabilities of our Tahoe Forest Health System, and I encourage you to vote and support his positive influence on the board.
