I love hanging out in the park. Truckee River Regional Park is one of my favorite places in the whole world. Even if I am in a grumpy mood the park makes me smile. I enjoy swimming in the river, playing softball, and walking the disc golf course. I can always find kids dropping food on the ground. What more could a dog want? With summer winding down and a chill already in the air, I say, ‘Here’s to the park. Thanks for a great summer.’

Over at the shelter there are still cats everywhere. If you are in the market for a new feline friend there has never been a better time to find one.

On the dog front, we have some pretty sweet looking puppies including two Dachshunds named Alice and Abner and a Chihuahua named Shiva. I’m normally not a big fan of puppies, but they aren’t moving in with me so what do I care. If I had my choice I’d adopt Sugar. Sugar is a redbone coonhound from Sierra County. Sugar is a sweet-looking lady with a beautiful singing voice. Give the Truckee humane society a call and get yourself some Sugar.
