The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently adopted an advocacy policy, with the goal of advocating by consensus on issues affecting the business community of Truckee and our region.
The first issue to be put through the process was Measure R, asking members if they were in favor of the chamber of commerce endorsing the Trails Campaign Sales Tax (Measure R). Of the responses received, 87.5 percent were in favor; 12.5 percent were opposed.
Measure R creates an expanded network of trails in Truckee, providing our residents and visitors with access to the open space that makes our town such a special place to live, visit, and do business.
The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce is pleased to provide our endorsement of Measure R. We thank our members for participating in the process so we can speak responsibly on behalf of the business community.
