When Teresa O’Dette was a North Tahoe Fire Protection District board member, I had the pleasure of working with her. She was a leader in the campaign efforts to raise critical funds for NTFPD. When the district was successful at the ballot box, she saw that those funds were invested wisely and according to the rules. Teresa O’Dette is a thoughtful, collaborative problem solver. She put in the time and energy, working with both sides to reach an equitable contract for the district.
Teresa knows budgets. I’ve seen her critical thinking and I know she’ll ask the right questions, bring in the best advisors, and consider all reasonable options. She contributed to budget development, did the research needed to make good decisions and was critical to the successful management of the fire district. I trust her values and her priorities will consider the needs of the community first. She’s a big thinker, comfortable as an independent leader, and as a team player. She’s a person we need on the Truckee Tahoe Airport District board; it’s time to elect Teresa O’Dette.
She’ll represent the whole district, her experience and expertise will transfer smoothly to the airport district and it will be good to know she’ll look out for the interests of the lakeside taxpayers — she’s done that for us before. We can use her keen insight again.
