Learn about your Small Business
The Sierra College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has received grant money allowing it to present Counseling Sessions and Training Workshops in Spanish – the sessions are free! All sessions are being offered at various times between November 18 and December 7. Both Counseling Sessions and the Training Workshops are being held at the Family Resource Center, 8321 Steelhead, Kings Beach. You must pre register by calling the SBDC at 800-527-7361. Hurry, space is limited.

What you want from your library
Through the month of November, the Placer County Library will be conducting a survey about library services. The survey is designed to take only a few minutes to complete, but will provide Library Administration with crucial information used to re-evaluate current services. Printed survey forms are available at the libraries in Kings Beach and Tahoe City. A survey form is also available online at www.placer.ca.gov/library.

Club Amigitos at KidZone
Club Amigitos is a class to introduce interactive hands-on educational activities that promote healthy development of preschool children. Cultural projects, art, music and science will be integrated throughout the class to encourage cross cultural friendships and language acquisition. This is a free program and space is limited. Club Amigitos meets Monday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. To register your preschooler, call the KidZone at 587-KIDS.

Co-housing Carpool, Nov. 11
Want to learn more about a proposed Truckee green building development with an emphasis on community, environment and sustainable living? Airport: Upcoming workshops
The Airport Community Advisory Team’s (ACAT) Devising Solutions Committee and Board of Directors of the Truckee Tahoe Airport will host two workshops designed to provide feedback on the solutions proposed during the spring meeting on May 1, as well as connect with the community on the status of new programs and solicit ongoing community response.  Workshops are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in Truckee, Calif. at the Hampton Inn & Suites and Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in Kings Beach at the North Lake Tahoe Conference Center.
