The Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista and Carnelian Bay communities will take to the streets on Saturday, June 7 to clean up their neighborhoods.
Registration for North Tahoe Community Clean Up Day will begin at 9 a.m. in Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista. Those interested in cleaning up Kings Beach can register in the conservancy lot next to Enviro Rents at the corner of Highway 28 and Coon Street; registration for Tahoe Vista and Carnelian Bay is at the Tahoe Vista Rec Area.
‘North Tahoe’s clean up day is a great way to get outside, meet your neighbors, and make your neighborhood shine,’ said Cheri Sprenger, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association.
Maps will be on-hand at registration tables to designate cleanup areas. All cleanup volunteers will receive a blue recycle bag, sunflower seeds, complimentary flower pony pack and a 2008 Clean Up Day T-shirt.
Volunteers will be treated to a barbecue after the cleanup, featuring food from Blue Onion Café and Catering, live music compliments of Fearless Chicken and raffle prizes for all volunteers. The barbecue will be at North Tahoe Beach across the street from Safeway in Tahoe Vista.

3. Become a North Tahoe Clan Up Day sponsor or adopt a street to keep clean
4. Pick up trash while walking to work or along the beach
5. Keep trash from local critters, wait until pick up day to put out trash and recycle bags
6. Recycle!
7. Clean up flower beds and boxes and plant soon
8. Touch up paint
9. Clean your windows and awnings
