Carla Platt

Carla Platt was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to a Dutch-born commercial artist who created landscapes and portraits in oil and pastel. As a young child, Carla enjoyed watching her father work, and she has always loved to draw. She took some community college art classes, but did not have much time for creating art while raising her three sons in Truckee with her husband, Ed. After the boys graduated from Truckee High School, Carla completed drawing and painting classes at Sierra College. She took a few watercolor workshops, notably two with the great watercolor master Charles Reid, and currently enjoys working in watercolor.
