Backstreet Boutique in Truckee’s Camden Building on West River Street has only been under Kim Keese’s ownership since June, but it’s quickly become a popular place for locals and visitors alike to find great style at reasonable prices. The eclectic mix of feminine and funky fashion offer perfect choices and price points for the Truckee woman, and Keese, along with assistant Gina Thompsen, put a special focus on listening to customer requests.

‘I look for clothes that allow our clients to feel confident, unique and classy and I’m getting a huge response to the style we bring to town,’’ Keese says. A busy local Mom with a daughter in college and two sons in Truckee schools, Keese loves her new role of business owner and enjoys the luxury of spending time with her customers. ‘Our focus is on service. We really want to help our clients feel great about their experience in the store!’

Backstreet has everything you need to pull together a cool new look from jeans to tops to a full range of accessories including jewelry, handbags and belts. The Boutique’s most popular brands include Michael Stars, Level 99, Miss Me, M Raina and Sang Real Jeans.  While the majority of the clothing is mountain casual, there are some beautiful dressy items at reasonable prices as well. If you need to head to a holiday party or special event on short notice, you’re in luck. The Backstreet Boutique in Truckee, away from the hustle of Commercial Row, will have what you need. With new items constantly coming in, it’s easy to drop in and take a look every few weeks to see what’s new.

Kim Keese is looking forward to serving Truckee with mountain style for a long time and it’s no wonder considering Backstreet Boutique’s motto is ‘Come in as strangers, leave as friends.’
