Hip hop in its truest form is about to grace Reno’s Knitting Factory. Twin Cities duo and Indie rap legends Atmosphere featuring MC Slug and DJ Ant will be dropping their hard-hitting yet sincere beats on the Biggest Little City. Slug and Atmosphere have exploded over the last 10 years with seven albums under their belt offering up tight lyrics with melodic rhythms. They have sold out shows world-wide and together have sold over a million albums.
On their most recent Rhymesayers Entertainment release ‘To All My Friends,’ Slug is said to have left some of his more reflective rap style out and brought in more fictional qualities. Slug will deliver his passionate flows backed by a live band including Nate Collis on guitar and Erick Anderson on keyboard.
Atmosphere will be joined on their national tour, which spans 23 dates in the month of September, by special guests and Rhymesayers companions Blueprint, a Cleveland, Ohio–based story teller and freestyle rapper who is touring in recognition of his soon-to-be-released album; Grieves & Budo, whose words and multi-instrumental tracks on their latest release ’88 Keys and Counting’ are said to be sample free; and DJ Rare Groove.
