The kick-off show, presented by the always motivational and humorous Dave Nettle, is ‘Magic Mushroom: A Yosemite Big Wall Experience.’ Since being established in 1972 at the height of the Yosemite big wall era, this route has retained a reputation for its incredible exposure and complicated technical climbing. Follow Nettle and partner Chad Shearer through the wild overhangs of El Capitan’s Shield headwall, and experience the humor and challenge of four days and nights lashed to the ‘big stone.’ The evening will wrap up with a fast paced selection of backcountry skiing images to help kick off the biggest El Niño season on the books. Sawtooth Ridge Cafe offers an early bird dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. Show starts at 7 p.m. A raffle will benefit Project Mana and their Thanksgiving dinner initiative.
