Here's the report from Placer County Sheriff's Office for late November and early December.

Placer Sheriff's Office wraps up summer with a fraudulent prescription and two search and rescue missions in the mountains. Truckee Police started off the fall season with a slew of DUI charges as well as a string of juveniles refusing to go to school.

The summer months brought a slew of public intoxication charges, and BUI (boating under the influence) charges in Placer County. June and July included a house squatters, a balcony escape from police, a stalking ex-boyfriend, two cases of tar herion possesion, and a convenince store stick up. And just like Kim Kardashian, $5000 worth of jewlery was stolen from a woman in Tahoe City. 

Late May in Placer County saw a handful of public intoxication charges, a few petty thefts, and a gun-wielding Republican. In July, Truckee Police investigated a bicycle collision that led to a death, a few DUI charges, and a run-in with a machete.

The logs from springtime in Placer are in, and they included a political debate with yard signs, a few craigslist scams and unwelcome house sitters. Truckee Police reported a sleu of public intoxication reports from June. 

In the Placer Sheriff's office there were three arrests for marijuana in one evening at Squaw, and a few cases of shoplifting for snacks. In Truckee, someone found an un-exploded explosive, and there were multiple public intoxication charges.

In late March and early April, the Truckee Police Department reported eight accounts of domestic disputes. The Placer Sheriff's logs recount February as a month of robberies and car vandalism –– who knew someone “keys” cars in ski parking lots!

Late January and early February everyone got a little too drunk to keep warm, with a record amount of drunk in public arrests. Public service announcement: If you are half in the bag, stay home! The end of the year reports coming from Placer County Sheriffs’ Department reported a number of online scams; be careful who to trust via the internet.
