Some days the world around him looked ordinary, unremarkable. Other times, yesterday’s mundane object or view would be stunning, filled with light and life, and would hold his eyes for a long time.
~ Even after 25 years in Truckee, Pam McAdoo sometimes misses the farmland outside New York City where she was raised. She supplements her art-teaching gig at Sierra College with occasional work at Backstreet Framers, Villager Nursery, Cake Tahoe, Bookshelf Stores, and the Truckee Library. The arts are her passion, from drawing, painting, printmaking, and bookarts, to music, dance, and architecture. With In the Moment, she pays homage to Paul Madonna, whose artful synthesis of text and reportage illustration has inspired her to add words to her visual records of North Tahoe and Truckee — conversations overheard, chance encounters, or fleeting thoughts that arise during the process of drawing.
