When something that captures the style, integrity, and sensibility of a by-gone era becomes too small, how do you gracefully expand it?
~ Even after 25 years in Truckee, Pam McAdoo sometimes misses the farmland outside New York City where she was raised. She supplements her art-teaching gig at Sierra College with occasional work at the Villager Nursery, Bookshelf Stores, and the Truckee Library. The arts are her passion, from drawing, painting, printmaking, and bookarts, to music, dance, and architecture. With ‘In the Moment,’ she pays homage to Paul Madonna, whose artful synthesis of text and reportage illustration has inspired her to add words to her visual records of North Tahoe and Truckee — conversations overheard or thoughts that arise in the moment when she’s drawing.
