The region’s ever-expanding network of trails contains multitudes. Paved, unpaved. Through meadow, by stream, or up steep rocky peak. Dusty and travel-worn, or secret and silent with a floor of pine needles. Ultimately, the question that remains is: How are you traversing these miles?

Ha, I bought this Univega mountain bike for $20 at a garage sale five years ago and it suits me much better than one of those $4,000 fancy shmanchy trail bicycles.

When it’s just rained, it’s fun to bomb down on my mountain bike. When it’s super hot, I love running my horse down the trail to jump into Prosser. When it’s family time, we all walk or do a combo of walking, biking, and bring the pony. The main point is “all of the above” is my answer, and the key is just to be nice and smile when you see others on the trail.
